A Heart attack is also known as myocardial infarction. Coronary arteries supply oxygenated blood to the heart.

In myocardial infarction or in Heart attack blood Supply to heart decreases.

Risk Factors include High blood pressure, High Cholesterol, obesity, Diabetes type 2, Alcoholism, and lack of Exercise in Daily routine.

Main cause of heart attack is Blockage in Coronary artery due to Plaque, it is also known as Atherosclerosis.

  • There are 2 types of Cholesterol Present in Human Body. HDL & LDL.

  • LDL-it is also known Low-Density Lipoprotein or Bad Cholesterol. It blocks coronary arteries by producing Plaque.

  • Diabetes Type 2 -High Glucose level can cause damage arteries.

  • Smoking- can increase chances of a Heart attack 2 times than Non-smoker.

  • Stress.

  • Family History.

What Happens to Heart and other organs during Heart Attack

As every other organ heart also need oxygen Supply which can lead ischemia (Restriction of blood supply to tissue) which causes scarring on Heart tissues.

Some people take beta blockers as their medicines, beta blockers are Diuretic which makes patient dehydrate.
